EAST BRIDGEWATER — Town Administrator Charles Seelig and the Town of East Bridgewater encourage residents and visitors to complete a survey regarding the accessibility of town facilities, programs and services.

The Town is in the process of developing a Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan to ensure accessibility within East Bridgewater. The town is working with the Edward J. Collins Center for Public Management to develop the plan, which is required by the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1991 (ADA). An important part of the planning process is providing opportunities for the public to offer input and share concerns.

The survey is intended to gather preliminary data to assist the planning team in identifying any barriers to access for individuals with disabilities at Town facilities or within the programs and services it currently offers. Following the initial study, the Town will solicit additional input on how to best address any deficiencies that are found.

The survey is expected to remain open throughout the month of February. All responses will be confidential.

Residents who need assistance in completing the survey or would like to request an alternative format can contact Marcia Burmingham at marcia.birmingham@umb.edu or call the Collins Center at 617-284-4824.
