EAST BRIDGEWATER — Chief Michael Jenkins reports that the East Bridgewater Police Department arrested a man on two charges following the recovery of a stolen motor vehicle, Tuesday.
MOHAMED JALLOH, AGE 24, of EAST BRIDGEWATER, was arrested and charged with:
- Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle
- Resisting Arrest
On Tuesday, Oct. 15 at approximately 6 a.m., East Bridgewater Police received a call from a resident reporting a suspicious vehicle that had been parked in front of their residence for the last few days. The caller stated that the vehicle, a Nissan Altima, had been unoccupied at the time of the report but described a man who was previously seen sitting inside.
Officers determined the vehicle to be stolen. Officers responded to the area to tow the vehicle and process it.
At approximately 9:19 a.m., East Bridgewater Police conducting patrol in the area of Whitman and East Streets observed a man matching the description given by the earlier caller walking nearby where the stolen vehicle had been recovered. Officers followed the man, later identified as JALLOH, as he returned to the area where the stolen vehicle was previously located. JALLOH is known to police.
Officers approached JALLOH, who refused to obey officers’ commands. Additional police responded to the area and arrested JALLOH.
During a preliminary search of JALLOH, officers located a key fob to a Nissan Altima on his person, which was later determined to be the key fob belonging to the stolen vehicle.
JALLOH was arraigned today in Brockton District Court. He is currently being held, due to previous charges, without bail pending his next court date
These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
